The Art House Artist
From the plains of east Croatia to the beauty of the island of Brač, Pavao Poljak (1932-2014) told his life story in stone. Being the first one in the family of collectors, this self-taught sculptor with a sharpened sense of beauty was born in Vinkovci and lived in Vukovar. In fact, it was there that he started sculpting in wood.
But then the war changed everything. Many things were lost, and many new ones were found. Thereafter he came to Brač in 1991 and from then, to the end of his life, all his love and time were dedicated to stone, to sculpting. And the stone listened.
Come visit or sleep in the Art House to stumble on all the gems and secrets of Pavao Poljak.
This is dummy copy. It is not meant to be read. Accordingly, it is difficult to figure out when to end it. If this were real copy, it would have ended long ago, because‚ as we all know‚ no one reads body copy, and even fewer read body copy this long. But then, this is dummy copy. It is not meant to be read. Period.
